This exhibition presents a group of works from the San Antonio Hospital collection, created by professional artists active in the Pomona Valley. Art by Phil Dike forms a historically significant grouping within this collection. Important works by noted artists such as Sheets, Zornes, Batchelor, and Mahoney, among others, will be displayed. Overall, these two-dimensional creations are fully representative of the outstanding artistic production of artists active in the Pomona Valley in the 1950s and 1960s. A timeline history of the hospital with documentary photographs and an overview of the history of art in hospitals settings will also be displayed.
