Meet The Artist – Susan Mach

Susan Mach will be at the museum doing a live Meet-The-Artist for her “Birds of Clay” show at CCMA.

Susan is a retired art teacher and will be talking about her art as well as pottery as an art form.

“Often, my ceramic work has been decorated with imagery based on local flora, or that from travels worldwide. Yet, as I sketch these plants outdoors, I haven’t ignored the presence of birdlife, mentally nothing the birds’ shapes, colors, and interactions with the setting. The choice of birds as a subject has increased my admiration of these flying feathered forms and will, perhaps, inspire your curiosity of them as well. Enjoy the flight!”
